Chaplain/Coordinator, An Episcopal Ministry to Convalescent Hospitals (AEMCH), East Bay
The Board of An Episcopal Ministry to Convalescent Hospitals (AEMCH) is seeking a Chaplain/Coordinator to encourage, support and mentor visits to convalescent hospitals from parishes in the East Bay as set forth in our Vision Statement, which can be found at www.aemch.org. We propose a 1/4-time job ($13,000, no benefits). Activities would include, but are not limited to:
Visiting parishes to provide education, training and support.
Observing parish services at convalescent hospitals and providing
constructive feedback. (Note: Parish visits and services often take place on Sundays)
Attending Board Meetings (monthly)
Developing inter-parish support programs for this ministry
Editing and contributing to the AEMCH Newsletter
Fundraising
This person could be either lay or ordained. He/she should have a strong passion for the pastoral care of our elders and administrative skills and a willingness to work with others within AEMCH and the diocese to grow this ministry.
